First you must choose an ad group that you will use with banners you want to display on that spot. it can be any word, but it can not contain any spaces or foreign characters. When creating a banner you will have to insert this group name to the "Ad Group" field.

Next open the file containg markup for the correct spot on the page. (usually header.php or footer.php) and insert this code to the correct spot and replace PUT_GROUP_HERE with the group you have chosen in the first step:
